International Day of the Girl

To commemorate International Day of the Girl, Inspire by Motherwell Cheshire is hosting a conference on Tuesday 11th October to highlight the issues that matter most to the young women of Cheshire – and what we are doing to support them in tackling these issues.
A great CPD opportunity for professionals who support young women, we are offering four short presentations covering a variety of topics relevant to young women in the local area:

The Impact of Inspire Cheshire
Motherwell Cheshire CIO will give an overview of the Inspire project; what we’ve been working on, our plans for the future – and how you can support the young women and girls of Cheshire.
Making Space for Girls
Take a look at the exciting new project our Inspire girls have been working on! Together with Crewe Town Council and the London School of Economics, they have been looking at the public spaces in the local area and how they can be improved to accommodate young women.
Feminist Groups in Schools
Join the students of Sandbach High School who are paving the way in campaigning for equality and diversity in schools and beyond. These students are a prime example of how even just a small group can make waves in their community and beyond.
Young Women in Sport
In light of the Lionesses’ victory at the Euros, we’re offering the opportunity to to listen to some of Cheshire’s rising stars in women’s football. The importance of keeping women and girls in sport cannot be underestimated – and these young women will tell you why.

Each presentation will be twenty minutes long, with ten minutes at the end for a Q&A session.
