New Feminism Wave

The Inspire project has been running empowerment groups within local schools since 2023, and has since set-up, ran, or supported pre-existing empowerment groups in several local schools, including:

-Springfield

-Adelaide Link

-Oaks Academy

-Shavington Academy

-Saint Thomas Moore

-Malbank

-Cheshire College

The majority of these groups have focussed on feminism, with popular themes being anti-misogyny, women’s rights and equality, highlighting the importance of these issues for the young Women that we work with.

Coupled with it’s significance to our service users, the importance of Women’s rights has gained large amounts of attention from the public within the last 6 months, with Violence against Women and girls being labelled as a national emergency, and an epidemic, and topics such as medical misogyny being spoken about for the first time.

This proves the urgency for safe spaces for all women to feel supported and have access to opportunities. By providing empowerment groups to young women and girls, our goal is to help them build a range of life skills, and empower them to overcome future barriers they may encounter.

Wellbeing group

We understand that self, and mutual empowerment can create a solid foundation for progression into social empowerment.

Our New wave feminist wellbeing group aims to provide a safe space for young women to focus on their own wellbeing, as well as having meaningful interactions and building friendships with others, this will help service users to build confidence as well as other skills, which will empower them to eventually participate in social action projects if they choose.

‘’You can’t give your all if we aren’t our all’’- Quote from empowerment group user

We are working closely with young women who have used our services or participated in previous activities, to inform the set up of this group, ensuring their voices are heard, and the services we provide meet the needs of the local community, and are accessible.
